Truly the Worst Marriott Experience—Unacceptable Hygiene and Misleading Service
As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I chose the Moxy X Hotel in Oslo despite its less-than-ideal location, expecting to find the standard level of service and quality associated with the brand. What I received was, frankly, shocking.
The most critical issue was cleanliness. The hygiene of the room was entirely unacceptable. When I checked the undersheet, it was visibly dirty, containing bugs and significant amounts of hair left from a previous guest. This is a severe failure of basic housekeeping and made the room feel unhygienic and unsafe.
Furthermore, the operational service was confusing and frustrating. I received conflicting information regarding parking at check-in; I was told to pay upon leaving, only to be informed at check-out that I should have been paying a daily rate. This lack of clarity created unnecessary hassle.
This hotel is a profound disappointment and, without question, the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. The unacceptable state of the bedding alone warrants serious attention from management.
I strongly advise against staying here.

With a tiny amount of planning and awareness of where you are, this hotel poses no problems at all and you can be in Oslo city centre within 25 minutes using public transport. |The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wide ranging and an enjoyable experience each morning.|If you are visiting as a tourist and intend seeing the sights and museums, invest in an Oslo Pass which also includes all the excellent reliable, clean public transport as well as sights and museums. You can leave the hotel and have a five minute walk to the bus stop where you can get the slow bus to the city centre taking one hour. Or you can take the bus to Olavsgaard bus terminal which is only a three minute journey away where you can then board the very frequent fast limited stop 400 bus taking you to the heart of the city in 20-25 minutes. This was so easy and made getting from the city to the hotel an easy experience. |On the last day I’d left luggage at the hotel and took the 400 from the city to Olavsgaard where I then booked whilst on the bus. The Uber took me to the hotel to collect the luggage and then to the local bus stop where the fast Airport bus departed from. The Uber journey in total took less than ten minutes and was just under 100NOK. |Considering the prices of Oslo city centre hotels and the fact that my Oslo Pass allowed free travel, add on the complimentary breakfast at the hotel, I knew I was onto a winner. The room was basic, but warm, clean, had a window that allowed fresh air in, and a decent TV to enable the political nerd in me to watch the full Norway Election 2025 night live coverage before comfortably sleeping. |This is a hotel to definitely stay at again in the area. It has value and despite the location l, I found it extremely accessible. You can also waste 700NOK on each journey to the city/airport by taxi if you wish. But the 400 bus is faster!||Enjoy your stay!

I've just returned from a 3 night stay at Moxy Oslo X and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet, scenic area just outside Oslo, which made it feel peaceful and relaxing. Even though it’s not in the city centre, getting around was really easy. There are great transport links to both Oslo Airport and downtown Oslo, so I never felt far from anything. It is also very close to a nearby town called Lillestrøm which has many different shops, cafes and transport links, if you don't want to venture into Oslo city centre.||From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The lobby had a fun, modern vibe with comfy seating and games, which made it feel more like a cool hangout than a typical hotel. It also had a well stocked bar and a 24/7 shop where you can grab snacks, drinks, and other essentials, which I found really convenient.||Check-in was quick and easy. I was asked if I'd prefer a ground floor floor a room in an upper floor. This very rarely happens in my experience, but it is a nice tidy especially for people who have a preference. Once checked in, I used the lifts, which were impressively fast, t go to my room. Throughout my stay there were no long waits, even during busy times for the lifts. This made getting around the hotel really easy.||My room was super clean and fresh. It had a simple design, but everything I needed was there, and I slept really well thanks to how quiet it was. It was very comfortable and clean which I really appreciated.||The cleaning staff were absolutely brilliant. Every day, they came in while I was out and tidied everything perfectly. The turndown service was a nice touch—fresh towels, neatly made bed, and everything reset just the way I like it. It made coming back to the room each evening feel like a little treat.||Breakfast was one of the highlights of my stay. There was loads of choice—hot food, fresh fruit and more. It was tasty and filling, and a great way to start the day. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM on weekdays, and from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM on weekends, which gave me plenty of time to enjoy a relaxed morning.||There aren’t many restaurants or cafés nearby, but I used the Wolt app to order food straight to the hotel. It worked perfectly, and there were loads of different options to choose from—everything from burgers and sushi to local dishes. It was a great way to enjoy a meal without having to leave the hotel.||Although I didn’t use them myself, I noticed some great extras around the hotel. There was a kids’ play area that looked perfect for families, and outside they had fun games like giant chess and mini golf. It added a playful touch to the place and would be great for guests with children or anyone wanting to unwind outdoors.||Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Moxy Oslo X is stylish, clean, and well-connected, with a calm atmosphere and great service. I’d happily stay there again!

Hotel was out in the suburbs. Great parking in a large lot - good for accommodating all of the tour buses disgorging all the people every evening. Nice meeting space for a captive audience conference. Check in is at the bar right when you walk in. Good public spaces, but this 2as new and unique. They have snacks for purchase behind the bar area 24/7 and a food menu. Breakfast was included and had many hot and cold choices. Something for everyone. One evening we waited over an hour for our food from the kitchen though. For the most part staff was very nice with a couple of exceptions. They just don’t seem like a very cohesive staff or many were brand new and had never had any training. Room was upgraded, so a decent size. AC wasn’t working in entire hotel so it was hot, made sleeping difficult. Cab into town or airport averages 750 kronin. There is a bus stop and a Burger King within walking distance. They had plumbing problems, but contained them well and only noticed when water ran hot and cold and did not hold temperature. I would stay here again, but would rather stay in town.

Loved the design of the hotel, but overall bad experience.

Dinner is not included. First day i stayed here the restaurant wasnt open so had to order from the bar. Took 40 minutes so i asked how long until it was done. They apologised, gave me free coffee and got the food for me in 10 minutes.
The next day it was open, ordered the same i did the day earlier as there wasnt alot of options and im picky(margarita pizza). After 40 minutes i went up and before i even got a word in i was told she already asked the chef to fix it and got told to sit back down. After 10 minutes me and two other girls(that also waisted approximately the same time as me) got our food and tried to leave before we got yelled at and accused of not paying. We both showed our receipt and when she looked at mine she said ‘oh okay’ and then attempted to give it back to me, but instead snatched it away again and said it wasnt mine. Moments later she said it was indeed mine and told me to have a nice evening.

There was also a horse event during my stay which i was not informed about, and it smelled like shit the entire stay. Also would be nice to know incase i was allergic against horses. Was also very confusing to get to the hotel as i had to drive through the event.

Chromecast didnt work on tv.

Not alot of information given at all really.

Well it is not in Oslo. It's between the airport and Oslo. You need to take taxi/Uber to Oslo or a bus. No restaurant around this place 😕. So when they say Oslo in the hotel name that's not correct. Otherwise is a nice hotel. The room is small and not much to it.
