Lovely small museum. We were lucky to join a just started English tour. During tours both houses are open, after that they close. Keep that in mind. The staff is very friendly and are willing to show you around. The café is also nice. It's not a big museum, but it's nice to learn about the people who lived there. The area is also very nice for a short hike.

It’s a chill spot along the coast to stop and have a look around. I missed the tour and didn’t want to wait for the next one. I was disappointed that even though I bought a ticket, the buildings are only open during a tour. When I walked to the buildings, they were all locked. I looked in through the windows and wish I could have gone in.
This will be an excellent museum once it’s completed and fully operational.
Btw, the cinnamon bread in the Kafe is wonderful.

Very cool museum and exhibition. We had a private guide, excellent skills and very nice tour thanks.
We discovered lot of about history of trading in Norway.
It is small museum but very cool. You can get caffe there too and some food too.
Free Small parking loot.
Highly recommended!
