Northern Explorer AS - Bøstad

One of the most memorable sunsets of my life! Kayaking with Northern Explorer AS was such a unique experience—not your usual kayak, but one with a steering rudder that makes controlling the direction so smooth and easy. We started around 19:00 and paddled until the sun finally set close to 22:00. Honestly, it didn’t even feel like 3 hours on the water because it was so much fun.

The guide was fantastic—super friendly, helpful, and made the whole trip enjoyable for everyone. The best part was when the entire group sat in silence, completely mesmerized, watching the calm sunset paint the sky. It was such a breathtaking moment that none of us wanted to speak—we were all just lost in the beauty of it.

This is more than just kayaking—it’s an unforgettable experience I’ll treasure forever.

We stayed at Northern Explorer AS for 2 nights and loved the peaceful atmosphere. Though we didn’t have time to try the activities, the sunsets were stunning—amazing colors, reflections on the beach, and clouds rolling over the mountains. A beautiful, calm place to relax!

Would highly recommend this tour! Lucito, our tour guide was incredibly friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. We kayaked over stunning turquoise waters to a gorgeous beach island and were provided hot coffee and cookies. Would 100% come back and kayak with Northern Explorer Guides again! We did the midnight sun excursion (10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.).
Amazing views with the surrounding scenery and midnight sun. The halfway point was stopping on a wild island to enjoy the views with tea or hot chocolate & biscuits offered by the guide. Our guide, Lea, was great!

Absolutely incredible - we booked the midnight kayaking tour & we got very lucky with the weather, it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide Lucio was lovely, very friendly & knowledgeable. We didn't feel rushed at all, plenty of time to sit and enjoy the sun & the break with the hot chocolate and biscuits was a nice touch.

It was nice and we got lucky with the weather, the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable on fauna and flora, the kids enjoyed it. But we were a bit disappointed and it has nothing to do with the activities, it is just the place itself may be beautiful from the sky with blue lagoon and rocks but down on the water this is not really impressive, just flat with rocks here and there so the landscape was not extraordinary.
