I was very impressed with the accommodation. Runhild gave me a very warm welcome. The house is very lovingly furnished and offers community rooms on the first floor such as a common room with mini store, fireplace room and crazy gym. Runhild offers regular yoga classes in the ingeniously equipped gym. On the first floor you'll find all the guest rooms with everything you need. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with all the other residents, but this is not a problem as there are more than enough. In the outdoor area there was a great sauna with a panoramic view, as well as all kinds of toys for adventurous guests. In addition to boats and snowshoes, there were many other indoor and outdoor activities for both summer and winter.

We visited sauna after mountain hike and it was perfect. No problem to call reception and drop-in without previous reservation. Great experience, sauna with a sea view, and option to get cold in the sea, clean and very pleasant. Enjoyed it!

Absolutely loved my stay at Catogarden. Great location for hiking and kayaking. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, warm and friendly team. Free sauna was awesome and had incredible views. Complimentary tea, coffee and yoga was a nice touch as well. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Big house which is well equipped and rooms are big and nicely furnished. Excellent service and especially from Hans. Kitchen for guests is small but includes all the necessary equipment. Excellent coffee for free! We really felt at home. Great dining room and lounge for the guests.

Really nice stay. The house is well decorated. Everything is well thought: there is a little grocery shop open 24/24, there are slippers so that you feel home, there are small towels for hands/bath carpet in all bathrooms (unique usage but washable). You can make fire in the chimney or enjoy the other living room. There is also a sauna with a nice view. We enjoyed staying there!

Exceptional stay!
We travel a lot and mostly by the car, so we’ve been saw a many many accommodations. This place is definitely one of the best our experience. Very cozy, perfect host, amazing common spaces. One of the many few places to return to.

What a lovely place to stay. The rooms are cozy, kayaking with Veronica is a blast, the views from every room are spectacular, and it is close to a lot of great hiking. Also, shout out to staff member, Marco who is friendly, knowledgeable, and really made us feel at home.

Excellent location, incredibly clean, super comfortable beds, and such a wonderful, friendly team that made the place feel like home. The area is stunning and I had a beautiful view from my room. The sauna was free (unlike some other hotels in Lofoten), nice selection of tea and coffee included, and the yoga was great as well. Definitely book a kayaking trip with them!! Within walking distance was the hiking trail Reinebringen, the ferry to Bunes beach, two restaurants, and the bus stop. I stayed 4 nights and between hiking and kayaking (twice), I felt like it was a nice amount of time. Just know that as it's an older house, it can be a bit noisy in the morning with people entering/exiting their rooms but I didn't find it to be a big deal. I truly miss staying here and it's only been a few days. 10/10 would recommend!
