We had a fantastic day with Booking Kirkenes. Traveling along the Pasvik River and the Borderlands was eye-opening. We learned so much about the changing relationships between the Norwegians and the Russians.
The National Park provided a good overview of the area. We also enjoyed the Sami hut at the Varanger Museum. We never would have known about that on our own. Great tour!

Wonderful small group tour to the Russian Border. Highly recommended, especially if considering a cruise excursion in Kirkenes. Much smaller groups, and superior personalized experience.

I would book again with this organisation. We had an absolutely fantastic experience during our excursion in Kirkenes, Langfjord and the Russian border . A very friendly and knowledgeable guide, speaking perfect English, gave us plenty of photo opportunities. He shared excellent information about local history, nature, daily life in Kirkenes, Sámi culture, and everything we asked about. And we asked about a lot of things: electric cars at -20°C, iceroads on fjords, the difference between tundra and taiga, living next to Russia during the cold war, moose and reindeer, a good local place to have lunch,...

We did the "Kirkenes- and Borderland sightseeing with a local guide" tour and really enjoyed it. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave awesome insights into the history and culture of the area. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic experience with Booking Kirkenes! It was a great value compared to the excursions offered by our Havila cruise. Our tour included the Russian border, Snowhotel, and a city tour—all in one smooth, well-organized trip. Greg was an excellent guide—friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. They even stored our luggage at no extra cost, which was a huge help. Highly recommended!

I booked last year for our Norway holiday and Booking Kirkenes assisted me with options and full guidelines of what would happen as well as payment guidelines. I received a payment link a month before our trip, quick and easy

We booked the Kirkenes highlights in a day tour on 23 Feb which included all activities we were keen to do namely king crab safari by snowmobile, husky sledding and ending at the Snow Hotel

Our transport arrived spot on time to take us to our 1st activity. We were kitted out in gloves , overalls, boots , helmets, got our safety briefing and off we went on our snowmobiles . There are quite a few traps for the king crabs along the way. Our guides then pulled up the cage and there were 3 king crabs in the trap , pretty huge creatures. They explained how the process works, we got picture opportunities to hold the crabs which were then put back in the trap and lowered back into the water. Off we went to finish our snowmobile ride and end the excursion off with king crab. We not really big crab fans but this was very well prepared. Our hosts just keep on piling on the crab

Next adventure was the dogsledding and boy are these dogs keen to run. This was the longest of the excursions, probably about an hour in total but so amazing. The scenery, the freedom. We had a stop so the dogs could rest and had photo opportunities with the dogs. They are very well looked after and you can see they really love the guides. There are over 200 dogs in the yard and they get scheduled so they are exercised daily and not overworked. And boy do they get fed well, including salmon.

The dogsledding starts and ends at the Snow hotel. You able to interact with the dogs afterwards. Amazing experience

Last activity was visiting the Snow hotel which was crazy. An ice structure with rooms to sleep in . Restaurant and bathrooms are connected to the hotel but not ice structures. Certainly a different experience should you want to. They keep the temperature at -4 and the hotel is open 365 days a year even in summer when Kirkenes is over 30 degrees Celsius
