I still find it difficult to put my experience in words. Watching orcas, humpback whales and sea birds hunting for food and just doing their daily stuff, surrounded by beautiful views of Altafjord and snowcapped mountains, on a crispy and bright winter day – it felt surreal!

Our guide Valerie and the crew seemed very experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they’re doing. The tour was arranged well, there was plenty of time to search for the whales. As the vessel is rather small, the group size was not crazy and everyone had enough space to observe the whales and make pictures. With -20 degrees outside, I really appreciated the opportunity to go back inside once in a while to warm up by a cup of coffee and charge my phone.

Thank you Valerie and the crew for making it happen, it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life! 🥹❤️

I was right to be excited for this tour ever since I booked it. We had the most amazing time with Valerie and her crew! They try to be very respectful towards the whales (e.g. not chasing them as other boats unfortunately did) but still were able to give us the most amazing views! Valerie is an all around great person and it is a joy to see how excited she herself is still getting by the amazing nature of Alta Fjord. We were extra lucky to see Orca, Humbacks and Finwhales as well as some amazing peal clouds and the near constant sunrise/sunset during these last few days of polar night.

Valerie had tea, coffe and cookies ready for us and was always mindful to check for everybody's well-being. Thank you! It is amazing to think that she started this company on her own and runs it's with so much passion and heart. I hope to join her again!

She knows a lot about the area and gives great information.
Her crew does a great job as well.
We saw Finnwales and had a great time!

Wir (4 Erwachsene und ein 1,5 jähriges Kleinkind) haben mit dem Kreuzfahrtschiff Aida Halt in Alta gemacht. Die Fjordsafari mit Valerie war eins der absoluten Highlights auf dieser Reise. Sie erzählte uns auf deutsch viel über Land, Leute und Natur. Wir konnten viele Fragen stellen und währenddessen Delfine und die wunderschöne Natur betrachten. Draussen war es natürlich kalt, aber wir konnten uns bei kostenfreiem Tee und Kaffee sowie Keksen im warmen Boot aufwärmen. Wir können den Anbieter und insbesondere die Fjordsafari uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden sie beim nächsten Mal sofort wieder buchen!

Unsere Tour mit Finnmarkmoods war zauberhaft. Wir entschieden uns für diese Tour, da sie mit einer warmen Innenkabine beworben wurde. Das war bei den Außentemperaturen goldwert. Zwischendrin konnten wir uns immer wieder mit Tee und Kaffee aufwärmen. Dabei musste man nicht auf die Wale verzichten, da es sowohl einen Bildschirm mit Sicht nach vorne gab als auch Fenster zur Seite und die Möglichkeit beim Kapitän vorne rauszugucken. Valerie hat uns die ganze Zeit sehr herzlich betreut und jede Frage lockerleicht beantwortet. Es herrschte eine familiäre Atmosphäre auf dem Boot, die das Erlebnis unvergesslich gemacht hat.

Super Tour wir hatten zuerst die Walbeobachtungs Tour gebucht, diese wurde aufgrund das die Wale nicht mehr im Fjord waren abgesagt, Geld zurück bekommen alles super. Stattdessen wurde eine Alternative angeboten die Fjordsafari, natürlich haben wir uns dies nicht entgehen lassen. Valerie ist ein super Guide, erklärt viel und versucht es allen recht zu machen. Dass was auch spannend war ist das man zum Kapitän schauen konnte und über die Schulter gucken konnte. Ein unglaublich tolles Team und eine schöne Erinnerung auf unser AIDA Reise. Es haben sich bei unser Fjordsafari Delfine und Robben gezeigt eine wunderschöne Erfahrung.

Nur zu Empfehlen ! Valerie ist ein Top Guide mit viel Herz ! Hatten zuerst Whale Watching gebucht welche seitens Finnmark storniert wurde, da die Wale leider weg geschwommen sind .. Keine Abzocke sondern seriös und ehrlich! Geld wurde erstattet und zudem Alternativen angeboten. Dafür haben wir Delphine gesehen 🙂

I went on a whale whatching tour with some friends. It was probably the best day in my life. We saw a lot of orcas, humpback whales and even some finn whales. Valerie & her crew were really respectfull towards the whales with keeping enough distance between us and the whales. That was really important for me! We saw the whales for a couple of hours and also the most beautiful sunset at the same time. It was also nice that you were allowed to walk freely inside the boat and talk for example to the captain. I even got to steer the boat for a couple of seconds! 🙂 Our guide Valerie was also lovely and ensured that we all had a great time out there. She provided us with some coffee, tea and cookies. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I can definitively recommend going on a tour with finnmark moods! Thank you so much Valerie!! 🙂
